Rubina Bernabe was the last one standing of her trio with T’Kor and Kimo on “Big Brother 26,” but just like them, she’ll be heading to the jury house. After Makensy won the final four Veto, Rubina’s fate was all but sealed as Makensy has unwittingly been under Chelsie‘s thumb. Chelsie put in the work to persuade Makensy to keep Cam, and not even Rubina’s offer to take Makensy to the final two was enough to stop Makensy from casting the sole vote to evict her on Thursday. Rubina was hardly shocked though — she revealed in her interview with Julie Chen Moonves that Makensy had told her right before that she was in a final three with Chelsie and Cam, which was something Rubina already suspected.

“Since I did suspect that they had a final three, I thought, ‘You know, this is gonna be a Hail Mary of a week for me to stay, but never say never,'” she tells Gold Derby (watch above). “And I of course was hopeful in thinking maybe I’ll stay. Maybe she does wanna see three women in the end, maybe there’s a bigger goal and purpose here. But I respect her decision to stay loyal to the people that stayed loyal to her.”

In her goodbye message to Rubina, Makensy also explained that she had to evict her because Rubina’s resume was “too good.” Rubina was stunned and uttered, “Really?!” And despite her meager amount of comp wins compared to Makensy’s, the 35-year-old can now kind of see why Makensy might think that.

“My mouth dropped when Makensy said my resume was too good because I thought, ‘What resume, girl? You have nine wins. I have one lowly AI Arena,'” Rubina says. “But I realized that a resume’s not just about your comp wins. It’s about a lot of things in this game, including how you handle yourself in times of stress. I was on the block five times, I was in a showmance. And she made me realize, ‘You know what? Maybe I do have something going for me here.'”
