Big Changes Are Coming to 'The View'
Big change is on the horizon for The View team, as it has been announced that the broadcast is closing up shop at their current filming studio.
Fans will notice a change in scenery at the start of the new season this fall, as the talk show is poised to relocate its set to a "brand new, state-of-the-art" space in a different part of New York City.
The move proves to be a huge change for the long-running TV production, as it aired from the same ABC studio in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan from its 1997 launch until 2014, when it moved to the ABC Broadcast Center, per TV Line.
The newest change was announced during the Friday, Aug. 2 episode of the chat show, when cohost Sunny Hostin announced that in addition to it being the season finale, “After 10 years and 2,143 episodes, this is the last show we’ll do from this studio."

“We’re sad to say goodbye,” she continued, “but we are thrilled to be moving to a brand-new studio downtown—brand-new, state-of-the-art—and we will see you there in September for the premiere of Season 28!”
Giving more insight into the process, she explained, “We’ve had to, for the past couple of weeks, box up things, get rid of things… We were allotted, each host, five huuuuge cartons. I took up two, Sara [Haines] took up all five and was looking for more!"
Hostin didn't spare the jokes with some of her other cohosts, either, adding, “And Ana [Navarro], please don’t say that you were a purger, because I think you had over 50 pairs of shoes in your [dressing] room."
On Instagram, the official account of the broadcast shared some behind the scenes looks at the ladies of the show settling in at their new digs.
"Get ready for a new ‘View’ as we end this chapter after 10 years in our studio on New York City's Upper West Side! ? See you in September from our new, state-of-the-art studio in downtown Manhattan when we kick off season 28! Here's a look behind the scenes of our photo shoot for this past season in studio TV1," the photoset was captioned.
Alongside it, a collection of black and white images of Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Joy Behar, Hostin, Navarro, and Haines pictured in different spots around the studio was uploaded to fans' delight.
Season 28 of The View will premiere in Sept. 2024, sometime after Labor Day.
