Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory is set to be released from prison. According to The Detroit News, the Black Mafia Family co-founder could be walking free in 2025.

The hustler was initially set to serve out a 30-year sentence, which he was handed back in 2008. The publication explained that Brittany K. Barnett, Flenory’s attorney, initially had 32 months chopped off of his sentence. After being found guilty of large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering, Barnett emphasized his client’s dedication to rehabilitating and readjusting to society.

Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. also shared the news in his Instagram Story. He reposted a post acknowledging how excited he must’ve been knowing his father was coming home from prison early.

Big Meech and his brother Terry Lee “Southwest Tee” Flenory founded BMF as a creative agency and Hip-Hop label in 1985. However, in the 2000s, federal agents deduced that the company was a mere front for a complex money laundering scheme. According to the feds, BMF moved cocaine across the country, raking in more than $270 million in cocaine sales.

The Detroit News reported that U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents leveled the cocaine empire in 2005 in a now infamous drug bust. Big Meech, Southwest Tee, and more than 100 co-conspirators were all arrested for their crimes.

Meanwhile, BMFthe show, is gearing up for its third season. The hit show is set to return for another chapter in their drug-riddled story on March 1 at 8 PM EST on Starz. Ahead of the premiere, Variety reports that the show was renewed for a fourth season.

“Fans can’t get enough of the history in the making that is BMF,” Kathryn Busby, president of Programming for Starz, said. “We’re thrilled to start working on a new season that will continue bold storytelling of the legend of the Flenory brothers that has proven to resonate so deeply with our viewers.”
