You can learn a lot from a popular dance. Eagle-eyed 9-1-1 fans seemingly caught a big spoiler in a seemingly innocuous TikTok video by show star Aisha Hinds, one which featured the show’s stars dancing to Charli XCX’s hit single “Apple.” But are fans right and is Peter Krause’s Bobby Nash back to being Captain in 9-1-1 Season 8?

Does Bobby Nash Become Captain Again in 9-1-1 Season 8?

The answer seems to be yes if Hinds’ TikTok video is to be believed. In the video, which features her, Peter Krause (Bobby Nash), Oliver Stark (Evan “Buck” Buckley), Kenneth Choi (Howard “Chimney” Han), Ryan Guzman (Eddie Diaz), and production assistant Allison Carr dancing to “Apple,” the cast is seen dressed in character – and they’re all wearing their uniforms, including Krause.

Except, last we saw Peter Krause’s Bobby Nash, he was being informed that he was no longer the Captain at the 118, instead he was being replaced by Vincent Gerrard. It followed a confusing series of events that saw Bobby quit the 118, then after his house burned down and he almost died, decided he didn’t actually want to leave his job. Of course, at that point, his resignation had been accepted and he’d been replaced by the worst possible option, the racist and misogynistic caption seen in some of the show’s flashback episodes.

So Krause being in uniform probably means that whatever happened with Gerrard and Bobby’s confusing resignation was handled, and Captain Nash will find himself in charge of the 118 very quickly in 9-1-1 Season 8, as it should be. Especially because the show likes to start each season with a big emergency (see earthquake, tsunami), and it would probably be good to have Bobby back in the 118 before this season’s emergency, which has been teased to involve bees, descends upon Los Angeles.
