Biking Around Town, David Beckham Embodies a Certain Type of Inexplicable DILF Energy
Welcome to Heat Check, a (semi)regular dose of much-needed style inspiration culled from the very best celebrity fit pics around.
In many ways, David Beckham is a lot like you and me. Stuck at home all day with little to do but tour the grounds of his bucolic country estate, or, I don't know, play a perfectly picturesque game of catch with his children (is it called catch if the sport involved is soccer?!) he, like so many of us, seems to have taken to biking like never before.
Okay, so he's not quite like you and me. See, when Becks goes on a bike ride he does it in a perfectly ratty tee and a thigh-baring pair of shorts that'd put any in Paul Mescal's regular rotation to shame. Topped off with a straw bucket hat from Fendi and complemented—as per usual—by enough expert-level body ink to make the needle of any aspiring tattoo artist positively quiver with excitement, Beckham looks for all the world like the quintessential Cool Dad he's become.

In his easy-wearing sandals (a summer essential for dads around the world if there ever was one) and with a little bit of a Blue Steel-inspired smolder, Beckham embodies a certain type of inexplicable DILF energy, of the kind often exuded by vaguely European-looking creative directors vacationing in NYC and staying at, like, the Soho House in Dumbo. IFYKYK, man.
And if you're staring at this blessed image telling yourself how much you need some thigh tats right now, you're in luck because—short of going under the needle—the easiest way to borrow some of Becks' swag can be yours courtesy of Swedish brand CDLP and its bright blue swim trunks.
CDLP makes the shorts Beckham is wearing here, and if you're a DILF-in-the-making (or want to look like one) you could do far worse than copping a pair, finding a bucket hat of your own, and carrying on with your bad self.
