Bill Cosby’s Wife Refused to Answer Dozens of Deposition Questions, Court Papers Show
Bill Cosby‘s wife, Camille Cosby, refused to answer a multitude of questions during her deposition last month, according to newly unsealed court papers.
Papers relating to the deposition reveal a 98-item list of questions that Cosby was instructed not to answer during the grilling.
While a partial transcript of the deposition, taken Feb. 22 in Springfield, Massachusetts, is redacted due to confidentiality, the intact portions provide some insight into the contentious nature of the deposition. At one point, plaintiffs’ attorney Joseph Cammarata threatened to call the judge after Cosby refused to answer a question, a refusal that Cammarata called “outrageous.”

At another point, Cosby attempted to refuse to answer a question about whether she had discussed her husband’s testimony in a deposition he sat for in a lawsuit brought against him by Andrea Constand.
“I don’t want to answer that,” Cosby said.
Eventually, Cosby lawyer Monique Pressley told her that she could answer the question, to which Cosby replied, “Okay. Yes.”
