Bill O’Reilly posts rant about Hollywood: ‘Liberal politics killed the movies’
Ratings for the 2019 Oscars may have been up, but the show didn’t get much love from the conservative community. “Nobody cares,” complained Tomi Lahren, while Candace Owens railed against the speech supporting “‘menstruation equality’ and feminism” made by the filmmakers for Best Documentary Short winner, Period. End of Sentence. President Trump took to Twitter to accuse Spike Lee of a “racist hit” because he urged viewers to “be on the right side of history.”
Bill O’Reilly, meanwhile, says he’s had it with Hollywood full stop. The former Fox News host — he left the network in 2017 after paying out a reported total of $45 million in sexual harassment settlements — tweeted Monday that, save for some “class” acts like Clint Eastwood and Jack Nicholson, Hollywood is no longer “fun.” He blames the “Alyssa Milano PC crew,” referencing the actress who has become a vocal #MeToo activist.
Hollywood used to be fun, now it’s basically a bunch of ill-informed poseurs virtue signaling. The old timers like Eastwood and Nicholson have some class but the Alyssa Milano PC crew is brutal.

In his “Bill’s Message of the Day” post, the former O’Reilly Factor host went on to rant that “liberal politics killed the movies” — except for controversial Best Picture winner Green Book, of which he is a fan.
“Didn’t watch the Oscars last night,” he elaborated in the post. “Proud of that. But I’m glad Green Book won Best Picture. It is excellent.
“My pal Spike Lee showed up looking like the captain of the good ship Barney and predictably told everyone to vote against President Trump,” he continued, though Lee’s acceptance speech did not specifically mention Trump.
“American films once entertained the world with charismatic stars and brilliant screenplays,” he added. “Now we get politically correct superheroes blowing things up. The rap music thing killed pop. Liberal politics killed the movies.”
O’Reilly’s views are taking some heat, given his own past behavior. Many have accused him of longing for outdated, misogynistic attitudes.
"The world was better when women were too scared to call me out for my abusive behavior" – Bill O'Reilly, essentially.

You know, people with enormous sexual harassment settlements should probably sit this one out.

You should totally talk about this, tonight, on your Fox…oh, wait…

I’m sure Alyssa Milano is devastated that a sexual predator like you thinks she’s PC https://t.co/eNeZ3GNNRR

Others agreed with O’Reilly’s sentiments.
They have proved nothing. They are the Weakest Generation. The Gen X'ers still run the show. Hollywood used to be about entertainment, just like public school used to be about education. They both have a main goal of indoctrination now.

They wonder why people don't watch. I used to stay up until all hours to watch when it was about the movies. Now it has become a platform for a warped political view. No thank you.

These celebrities are no more (and often less) educated than the rest of us, yet they speak like they are the authority on all things political and social. Why do we give them so much unwarranted credibility??
— LP (@Dichotomy93) February 25, 2019
That's because society has elevated them to an entirely unhealthy level. They now feel entitled and superior, spewing hate because someone dares to believe differently than them #selfrighteous

Milano responded to the dig later that day.
Maybe you should sit this one out, @BillOReilly. https://t.co/yke4ek45dk
