UPDATED, 3:39 PM: Let the movie re-dating begin. After Warner Bros. moved Christopher Nolan’s Tenet yesterday to Wednesday, Aug. 12 following COVID-19 cases spiking nationwide and New York moving movie theaters out of phase 4, United Artists Releasing is now pushing their Orion threequel Bill & Ted Face the Music to Aug. 28. Currently on that date is Disney’s long-awaited release of 20th Century Studios/Marvel’s The New Mutants. With auditoriums bound to exercise capacity limits between 30% to 50%, there’s a good chance we can see New Mutants move again, too.
MGM recently picked up more foreign markets for Bill & Ted Face the Music from Endeavor Content adding France, Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Scandinavia, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Hungary, Turkey, Benelux, Bulgaria, Singapore and Romania to the studio’s previous international swath of Germany, Greece, Latin America and the Middle East.
