Billie Eilish admits she wore 'the ugliest' Halloween costume wig for 'Late Show' appearance

On Monday, Billie Eilish looked quite a bit different from last February when she previously visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The seven-time Grammy winner showed off her new blond hair, and revealed that she was actually blonde the last time she was on the show.

“Steve, I was just as blonde then as I am now” the singer said. “I was wearing a Billie Eilish wig.”

Eilish revealed the new color on Instagram in March. She said that the hair-coloring process took several weeks and to keep up appearances during that time she wore a wig. The first of which was nothing special.

“I just knew that it would have these processing periods where it would look insane and I didn't want to look insane,” Eilish recalled. “But I needed something quick, so I literally ordered a Billie Eilish Halloween costume wig on Amazon.”

As to be expected, the quality of a halloween wig left much to be desired. In fact, Eilish said. “It was awful! it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen.”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
