Billie Eilish Shades Taylor Swift With 'Psychotic' Comment About 3-Hour Concerts

Fans aren't very happy after Billie Eilish seemed to shade Taylor Swift and Beyoncé's impressive tour setlists during a recent conversation with fans, where she called the idea of performing a three-hour show "psychotic."

The comment came during a livestream via the app Stationhead on Thursday, May 23, in celebration of the release of her new album Hit Me Hard and Soft, after one fan asked her if she'd play the entire album during her next tour.

After the "What Was I Made For?" singer explained, "If I did that, I'd have to cut like every other song that I have," someone likely suggested she take a page out of the megastars' books and put out an extended setlist, as after a moment of silence, she seemed to counter a request for her to play for several hours.

"I'm not doing a three-hour show, that's literally psychotic," she told listeners. "Nobody wants that. You guys don't want that. I don't want that, you know what I'm saying? I don't even want that as a fan. Even my favorite artists in the world, I'm not trying to hear them for three hours; that's far too long."

After a few more moments of silence, where she appeared to be reading disagreeing comments from fans, she added, "No, you don't want that, I promise you—you don't."

But, as one Swiftie said, "Taylor Swift could sit up there for 48 hours and sing the alphabet, the itsy bitsy spider, and heads, shoulders, knees, and toes on repeat for the entire time and i would be first in line to buy tickets..."

Another pointed to footage from inside one night at Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour, which runs for about three hours and 15 minutes, alongside an aerial shot of the giant crowd that had gathered to listen outside.

It was a surprising comment to hear coming from the touring artist after she previously commended the pair for their impressive stadium shows, telling the LA Times last year that she "find[s] it really hard to play stadiums."

“Beyoncé and Taylor [Swift] are untouchable superstars; the fact that they can put on a show that long, and it’s filled with so many incredible moments, is really amazing," she said at the time.

Earlier this year, fans suspected she was subtly shading the "Karma" songstress when she called out the “biggest artists in the world” were “wasteful” with the multiple variants of the same albums they'd release to convince fans “to keep buying more,” calling it "irritating" that "we’re still at a point where you care that much about your numbers and you care that much about making money.”

She later explained it was an industry-wide issue and that she wasn't singling any one artist out, as she herself had eight different variants for Happier Than Ever.
