'Billions': Watch the Premiere of the Damian Lewis-Paul Giamatti Showtime Series Here Now
We could give you a hundred reasons to watch Showtime’s new high-stakes Wall Street drama, Billions. But in this case, we’re happy to let the show itself do the talking. Starting today, you can watch the entire series premiere right here on Yahoo TV, more than two weeks before it debuts on its home network. And trust us, by the time the credits roll, you’re gonna be deeply invested in what happens next.
Created by the screenwriting team of Brian Koppelman and David Levien, and financial world journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin, Billions is the tale of two Wall Street titans on a head-to-head collision course. In one corner, there’s hedge fund wizard Bobby Axelrod (Homeland’s Damian Lewis), who is as popular with his employees and the public as he is envied by fellow would-be Masters of the Universe. In the other corner, there’s ambitious federal attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), who makes Axelrod his next target for prosecution.
Seeing these two acting heavyweights step into the ring is incentive enough to check out the premiere, and the creators confirm that the match-up of Emmy winners was equally enjoyable to observe on set. “We were all looking forward to that from the beginning,” Levien tells us. “You could feel those guys having so much fun diving into their characters and going at each other in that way.”
Billions premieres Jan. 17 at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
