Before centers on Crystal’s Eli, a child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn (Transparent‘s Judith Light), encounters a troubled young boy, Noah (Peter Pan & Wendy‘s Jacobi Jupe), who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past. “As Eli attempts to help Noah,” the logline teases, “their mysterious bond deepens.”
The miniseries’ cast also includes Rosie Perez (The Flight Attendant), Maria Dizzia (Orange Is the New Black) and Ava Lalezarzadeh (New Amsterdam). Series creator Sarah Thorp (TNT’s Hawthorne, A&E’s Damien) serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer; Crystal is also among the show’s EPs.
