Billy Porter stepped onto the red carpet of the Annual Voices Gala in New York City in a pair of Lavin Curb sneakers by Surgeon on Thursday, May 9.
Porter wore a pair of Lanvin Curb sneakers by Surgeon, valued at $4,000. These limited edition shoes feature various shades of blue with pink accents and checkered patches in black and white along the sides. The grey laces, designed to resemble thick rope, do not require tying. The tongue and mid-section also adopt a grey hue. Constructed from polyester and calfskin, the sneakers display the Lanvin logo prominently on the side.
The actor paired his designer shoes with a light pink dress to attend the 19th Annual Voices Gala in New York City on Thursday, May 9 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. Porter was seen posing solo on the red carpet as well as with Dapper Dan. He also took the stage and addressed the crowd at the podium.
Porter is recognized for his preference for high shoes but also appreciates a more understated, sneaker-like appearance. In 2022, he was seen in New York City wearing grey loafer sneakers. Additionally, that same year, he opted for metallic silver flats at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and chose to wear sandal slides during an April gathering with friends by a pool.
About the Shoes
The limited edition collaboration with Dominic Ciambrone, also known as “The Surgeon,” is a take on Lanvin’s Curb sneaker line. The shoe is, “a marriage of old-school workmanship and cutting-edge technique. Remixing the house’s signature motifs and emblems with his personal iconography, the design showcases an extraordinary mélange of French heritage and authentic streetwear style.” The shoe is made in the United States.
