Billy Ray Cyrus Escapes Alimony And Spousal Support In Firerose Divorce Settlement

Billy Ray Cyrus is officially a single man, but dissolving his union to Firerose isn't the best part of the deal.

The "Achy Breaky Heart" singer recently finalized his nasty divorce, getting away with most of his properties and no spousal support payments. In a statement, he raved about his freedom, noting it was time to put the drama behind him.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose went head to head for months over their split, calling each other out for abuse and fraud. The pair were married for less than a year with no children.

According to new reports, Cyrus and Firerose settled their differences this past Friday at a mediation to dissolve their 7-month marriage. The country music star's attorneys, Rose Palermo and Jason Talley confirmed the finalization of their divorce, saying:

"The Court declared the parties divorced this morning. Mr. Cyrus is relieved to put this nightmare behind him. Further, a couple of weeks ago, prior to mediation, Ms. Hodges legally changed her last name from 'Hodges' to 'Cyrus.'"

"Mr. Cyrus feels that this validates his assertion that his ex-wife's sole impetus for marrying him was to obtain his last name," Cyrus' reps claimed, throwing a final shot at Firerose after helping their client score big on the settlement.

According to the divorce agreement obtained by In Touch, Cyrus did not have to pay any alimony or spousal support. He also got all interest in his various production and publishing companies plus "all right, title, and interest" in royalties owed for his musical compositions.

The list extended to "jewelry and items personal to him or her now in their respective possession." Cyrus got to keep his cars: a 2010 Nissan Titan, a 1993 Harley Davidson, a 1993 GMC Truck, a 2008 Freightliner Sprinter Van, and a 2024 Nissan Murano.

While Cyrus had plenty to be thankful for, from escaping spousal support payments to keeping his properties, he was more grateful to be done with Firerose. He addressed their settlement in a statement, saying:

"I'm just very relieved… and giving thanks today to breathe a sigh of relief. This has been absolutely the most crazy, insane scam I have ever heard of."

"Let alone the fact I'm right in the center and basically the target of the scheme. It's unfortunateit played out this way," Cyrus continued, claiming the situation was a "web of lies that put me in physical danger."

The country music singer noted that apart from his dissolved relationship being an alleged scam, it was also "a matter of the heart." "Love is blind … that's for sure," he concluded.

While Cyrus is relieved to be done with Firerose, she, on the other hand, feels wronged by the outcome of their settlement. A source close to the singer shed light on her feelings, claiming:

"If this went to trial, Firerose and her team would have provided a significant amount of evidence to prove he fabricated a narrative that would benefit his public image."

"There is no doubt she would have been awarded the divorce, but it was much more important to her that this continuous smear campaign end," the source continued, noting Firerose wanted the "emotional turmoil" to stop and close her chapter with Cyrus.

Billy Ray Cyrus Accused Firerose Of Leaking Scathing Audio

Weeks before their divorce settlement, The Blast reported Cyrus slammed Firerose for leaking the viral audio of his alleged abusive ways. He was heard shouting and calling his ex-wife degrading names like a "selfish f—king b-tch."

Cyrus' attorneys argued that the audio held no merit because their client had confessed to being "vocally frustrated and angry" after discovering Firerose's alleged lies. They accused her of leaking the audio, claiming it was an extortion scheme.

"At this point, Ms. Hodges has played her last card, while Mr. Cyrus, on the other hand, has much more material to present to the Court to demonstrate the lies that she made public throughout these proceedings," the attorneys concluded.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose can finally be at peace without their allegedly abusive half. But will they be able to find love again after a tumultuous union?
