Bindi Irwin’s ‘Best Buddy’ Daughter Grace Is a Kangaroo Whisperer in Adorable New Photos
Even Disney princesses can’t get animals to flock to them as easily as Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior. The toddler is beaming in new photos surrounded by kangaroos, and it’s simply enchanting!
“These mornings… ???? Warm sunshine and kangaroo breakfast with my best buddy. #AustraliaZoo,” Bindi wrote on Instagram Thursday. The photos look like something out of a fairytale!

Grace is all smiles in a white t-shirt and khaki pants as two kangaroos nibble on breakfast from the palm of her hand in the first photo, with Bindi smiling nearby. Another kangaroo hangs out in front of Grace, and still more are photographed in the background, frolicking among the fallen leaves and shady grass. They are totally relaxed about Grace being there, as if she were Snow White herself.
In another snap, Grace reaches her hand out to feed another kangaroo. This wild animal is leaning forward with its whole body, clearly trusting Grace like it would any other zookeeper.
We get to see a close-up from Grace’s perspective in the last photo. A kangaroo leans toward the camera, showing off its perky ears and whiskers on its nose. If this is how Grace starts her mornings, then we are officially in awe. It seems so magical!
“Such a beautiful backyard to share with precious little Grace!??” Bindi’s mom Terri Irwin commented on the sweet snap. Someone else wrote, “What a gift to be able to share respect and caring for wildlife with your daughter ??.”
“What a magical childhood. Bless you and your family!” another commented.
Earlier this week, the Australia Zoo CEO took her daughter on a special outing for more animal feeding. “Afternoon exploring lemur island at #AustraliaZoo,” she captioned several photos of Grace visiting ring-tailed lemurs. “So lucky to share these moments with our beautiful daughter. ??”
Grace has been comfortable around animals since she was an infant. We still remember the sweet post Powell made about a then-7-month-old Grace in her stroller surrounded by kangaroos. “I think Grace has decided that she’s part of the kangaroo mob @AustraliaZoo ????,” he captioned the heartwarming picture.
In an interview with SheKnows earlier this year, the Crikey! It’s the Irwins star gushed about how her daughter is living up to her name. “She is 100 percent a Wildlife Warrior. I mean, I think it’s genetic at this point,” Bindi said with a laugh, adding that Grace “likes to become an expert on animals.”
“So her new thing is facts. So, she’ll say something like, ‘Koalas eat eucalyptus. That’s a fact,’” Bindi said, showing how her daughter even does a finger motion to drive the point home. “And it’s so cute, ‘cause it’s like, you know what? You can’t teach that. That is just who she is.”
