Bindi Irwin’s Photos of Daughter Grace Warrior With a Red Panda Started the Oddest Controversy
One of our favorite mother-daughter duos, Bindi Irwin and her daughter Grace Warrior, had the cutest moment together, with a red panda! However, these sweet photos started a controversy, and we’re so dang confused.
Get ready for a cuteness overload when you see Bindi, her daughter Grace Warrior, and a fluffy red panda together! It’s true, Bindi shared a few snapshots of the three of them to her Instagram on Aug 10 with the caption reading, “Meet Teddy. ?? The sweetest red panda with a true love for snack time. I hope you can meet him on your next #AustraliaZoo adventure…”

In the first photo, we see Bindi feeding the fluffy red panda, named Timmy, as he stands on her and above Grace Warrior (who looks like the happiest kid in the world as she smiles at her fluffy pal)! In the next pic, we can see Grace Warrior getting ready to pet Timmy, who looks as adorable as can be while looking off to the side.
Now, this just seems like an ultra-sweet photo from our favorite animal-loving family, right? Well, the comments are in an all-out battle, with many claiming these photos are photoshopped. Many claim things in the comments like “I can’t tell if he’s real or not,” “This is so obviously photoshopped….,” and “That’s soooooo photoshopped a la Kate Middleton.” Their reasoning is that the panda looks like he’s not actually on Bindi. Many have agreed with them, and just as many have come in Bindi’s defense.
But besides this controversy, we’re obsessed with these pics, and how happy the mother-daughter duo looks at the Australia Zoo (it always warms our hearts, to be honest)!
For those who don’t know, Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell welcomed their daughter Grace Warrior, 3, on March 25, 2021, which was exactly one year after their intimate wedding ceremony at the Australia Zoo.
In a previous interview with SheKnows, Bindi talked about how she thinks playtime with her daughter is one of the most important things to do. “Those moments of connection with play I still draw upon as an adult, and I think that’s really, really special. [P]laytime is so important because it gives kids the opportunity to have those building blocks for the foundation for the rest of their life.”
She added, “You play and you’re building confidence, you’re expanding on your knowledge, and discovering the magic of the world around you.”
