Blac Youngsta reacts to brother's recent passing: "Life will never be the same"
On Friday (Aug. 18), FOX 13 reported that a man was shot and killed near a BP gas station in South Memphis, which many on social media began to speculate was the brother of hometown hero Blac Youngsta. On Sunday (Aug. 20), the Collective Music Group associate confirmed the news in a series of emotionally charged messages on Instagram.
“I love you, baby brother, rest up. I’m gon’ make the world pay, I swear to God. Nobody safe,” Youngsta said in regard to his fallen sibling, who AllHipHop identified as Tomanuel Benson. “Standing over everybody. I’m ready for whatever come with this s**t. It’s okay. Don’t feel sorry for me. I’m not gonna feel sorry for nobody. Only God knows.”
He continued, “Gon’ make sure they feel me, I promise. Life will never be the same. But God got me. I’m the strongest man in the world.”
Benson marks the third brother that Blac Youngsta reportedly lost due to violence. In 2016, he shared a birthday tribute to one of them, known as Ronnie B, in a Facebook post. “I miss you so much, lil’ brother. I swear to God, when you died, I thought about killing myself, no lie,” his message read at the time. “Sometimes, I just wish God would have took me and not you… I just wish we could [trade] places, my life will never be the same without you in it… I changed my life around, lil’ brother. I don’t rob or sell dope no more. I’m an [important] person now, I don’t work for food no more, lil’ brother, I work for myself now and I got our other two baby brothers out the streets.”
In 2019, he lost another brother, an artist that went by the name Heavy Camp TD. According to Urban Islandz, the rising talent was gunned down in Miami.
