Black Mirror Season 7 Cast Revealed

Originally appeared on E! Online

Black Mirror is ready to show us something real and free and beautiful.

Six months after confirming the Charlie Brooker-created series would be returning for season seven in 2025, Netflix announced a slew of stars who will be joining the mind-bending anthology series.

Nineteen cast members were revealed in a cryptic video posted by the Black Mirror account to X, formerly Twitter, Sept. 19 and include Awkwafina, Chris O'Dowd, Emma Corrin, Issa Rae, Paul Giamatti, Rashida Jones, Tracee Ellis Ross and more.

In keeping with the show's mysterious vibes, the short video featured a vintage computer screen with the caption, "TCKR_Confidential_NotForDistribution.mp4." The announcement featured plenty of Easter Eggs for fans to dig into, starting out by saying "An error has occurred," and asking them to "Press any key to continue."

The video then begins to reboot before showcasing all the new actors joining this season, with cryptic quotes mixed in including: "Lonely old place isn't it?" "Oh dear—is the entire internet wrong?" "Who drank my almond milk?" and "I'll be yours forever more."

When the new season was first announced in March, Netflix also gave a few clues as to what fans could expect of the upcoming six episodes, teasing, "Six new stories, but one looks a little familiar."

During the Next on Netflix event in London, it was confirmed the next installment would include a continuation of the season four episode "USS Callister," which starred Jesse Plemons as a reclusive video game executive who creates his own simulation to terrorize his subordinates.

The episode costarred Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Billy Magnussen, Osy Ikhile and Milanka Brooks—all of whom are set to return for the new season.

Over its long run, which started on Netflix in 2011, the anthology series has picked up six Emmy wins, including two for "USS Callister."

And Brooker is thrilled for fans to see what else he and the show have brewing for season seven.

"I'm really excited," he told The Hollywood Reporter in May. "I'm always excited about all of them, but I think we have a really good mix."

He also teased, "We are doing something really cool right now that we've never done before—but I can't say what it is."
