‘Black Panther’ Wins Best of Show at Golden Trailer Awards
“Black Panther” was awarded the top prize at the 19th annual Golden Trailer Awards on Thursday.
Trailer studio Create was given the Best of Show prize for its trailer for the Marvel Studios film, “Crown,” which featured sneak peeks at Killmonger, Wakanda and the Black Panther himself to a remix of “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.” Promos for “Black Panther” also won awards for Best Action Trailer, Best Action TV Spot, and Best Music TV Spot.

On the TV side, season 2 promos for “Stranger Things” and “Westworld” led the way with three wins each, while “Call of Duty: WWII” led the video game division with three awards of their own.
The Golden Trailer Awards, which took place at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, recognize marketers and trailer production studios in 108 categories, with 17 given during the gala presentation. Among trailer vendors, Trailer Park came away with the most awards with nine, followed by Mark Woollen & Associates and Buddha Jones — which each won seven awards.
“It was another amazing year for marketers and for moviegoers who love trailers,” said GTA Founder Evelyn Watters. “This competition recognizes a field of artists and editors who toil behind the scenes but are most responsible for filling theaters and getting people invested in what is coming soon to theaters around the world.”
