K-pop star and Blackpink member LISA has finally announced her new single ‘Rockstar’ after two weeks of teasing the new single. Lisa put it on her Instagram story on Tuesday, 18th June.  She shared a sleek graphic while showing the title of the track and mentioned that it’s going to be released on Thursday, 27th June at 8 pm E.T.

LISA began teasing the track “Rockstar” back in June of this year by opening up a ‘TikTok’ account with a post that appeared to be a part of a new edgy single. After the announcement of her release, she apparently made a Guinness World Record by gaining a million followers in just 2 hours and 18 minutes.

She posted another video on TikTok later, while teasing the title of the song “Baby, I’m a rockstar”. She could be heard singing this from a distance, in the clip that she put up on the application.

This is going to be LISA’s first song post-signing with RCA Records. Her previous singles namely “Lalisa” and “Money” were released through YG Entertainment and Interscope Records. Lisa’s single “Money” became the first solo KPop track to cross a billion streams on Spotify, in 2023.

Lisa said the following in a statement back in April. “I’m super excited to be joining the RCA family, and I am confident they are the best team to create a bigger movement in my solo career. Looking forward to showing the world everything we have been preparing.”
