Blackstreet – ‘No Diggity’
Blackstreet released ‘No Diggity’ as a single in July 1996. The track was co-written and -produced by Blackstreet member and new jack swing legend Teddy Riley, and featured guest appearances from Dr. Dre and 90s/00s rapper Queen Pen. It’s the group’s best-known single by a distance, and it was named one of the 500 Best Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone in 2021.
‘No Diggity’ appeared on Blackstreet’s second album, Another Level, which followed their self-titled debut from 1994. The album also included the hit ‘Don’t Leave Me’. The group released two more albums – Finally (1999) and Level II (2003) – before breaking up in 2003.
Co-founder Chauncey “Black” Hannibal has been fronting a reunited Blackstreet since 2014. Riley is not part of the current lineup.
