Blake Lively celebrates her birthday at Taylor Swift’s mansion amid ‘It Ends With Us’ drama — guest list revealed
Blake Lively enjoyed a big birthday bash after the internet turned on her.
The actress celebrated her 37th birthday at her BFF Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island mansion over the weekend, choosing to party rather than publicly address the extreme backlash she’s facing for how she has promoted her new film, “It Ends With Us.”
Lively was pictured kissing her husband Ryan Reynolds on Saturday outside of Swift’s lavish home where the star-studded bash took place.
The “Gossip Girl” alum wore a bright bikini top and floral shorts while packing on the PDA with Reynolds, 47, who had on a pink button-up shirt and a blue hat.
Photos obtained by Page Six show Lively with her and Reynolds’ children on the balcony of Swift’s home. The couple share daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and son Olin, 1.
Swift, 34, welcomed a slew of A-list celebs to her $17 million Rhode Island home, including her boyfriend Travis Kelce, his brother Jason Kelce and Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce.
Bradley Cooper, who is dating Lively’s pal Gigi Hadid, also went to the party with his daughter Lea, 7. It’s unclear if Hadid, 29, was in attendance.
Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany Mahomes also made an appearance over the weekend.
On Lively’s 37th birthday Sunday, her half-sister Robyn Lively, 52, shared an Instagram tribute to the “Green Lantern” star.
“That’s my bday queen right there! I love this girl, my sister, my best friend, my little piggy back buddy! You are one of the best humans I know. HAPPY birthday sissy britches!” Robyn wrote alongside photos of the siblings from over the years.
Before her Rhode Island sighting, Lively was laying low due to all the “It Ends With Us” drama.
The mother of four plays a woman in an abusive relationship in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling book.
During the press tour for the movie, Lively was criticized for failing to discuss the film’s domestic violence theme and instead promoting her new hair care line, Blake Brown, and her floral fashions.
In one viral clip from one of her interviews, Lively told fans to “grab your friends and wear your florals” and go see the movie.
Lively faced further backlash when old clips of the star’s rude behavior in past interviews resurfaced.
In a 2016 interview for her movie “Café Society,” Norwegian reporter Kjersti Flaa congratulated Lively, who was pregnant at the time, on her baby bump, which prompted snippy responses from the actress.
Flaa posted the video to YouTube titled, “The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job.”
An Elle magazine interview from 2012 where Lively repeatedly used a transgender slur while discussing her future children also resurfaced on the internet.
In addition to the backlash against Lively, there have been rumors of tension between the “It Ends With Us” cast.
Justin Baldoni — the film’s director and male lead — did not make any press or red-carpet appearances alongside his co-stars Lively, Brandon Sklenar, Isabela Ferrer and Jenny Slate.
At the New York premiere on Aug. 6, Baldoni and Lively — who served as a producer — watched the flick in separate movie theaters.
Sklenar, who plays one of Lively’s love interests in the film, became the first cast member to speak out about the alleged drama on Instagram last week.
“What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film,” said Sklenar, 34. “It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negative being projected online.”
He also slammed those who are “vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film,” seemingly referring to the recent internet hate for Lively.
