Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are one of Hollywood's favorite celebrity couples, and it's not hard to understand why—aside from their cheeky social media moments, they occasionally step out in winning ensembles that tug at our heartstrings.

The couple's September 16 outing in New York City saw them wearing adorable coordinating ensembles. Lively wore a bubblegum-pink pullover sweatshirt and blue medium-wash denim jeans. She accessorized with a chunky necklace and a blue and pink tweed Chanel flap bag, which she wore crossbody-style.

Reynolds, meanwhile, complemented the blue notes in Lively's outfits by wearing a navy blue button-up shirt that was embroidered with pink birds that held embroidered green floral wreaths in their beaks. The Deadpool actor completed his outfit with a white crew-neck undershirt, light gray chinos, and a navy blue embroidered cap. Both stars wore sunglasses, though Lively went for a dark brown black pair, and Reynolds a light brown pair.

Reynolds and Lively's time in NYC comes weeks after the It Ends With Us press cycle, and the drama attached to it. The Gossip Girl star has been enjoying her time off following the backlash she received for the way she promoted the film, which saw her releasing her Blake Brown and Betty Buzz (her haircare and beverage line), and failing to mention the film's domestic violence themes.

Lively "initially felt very vulnerable and upset” over how the movie's press cycle played out, a source told People. “During the promotion of the movie, not one day went by when she was not in the news in an unfavorable light. She's just not used to this kind of drama."

The 37-year-old “felt out of control” in the situation, but she still “enjoys working and will continue to push forward projects that she's excited about."
