Blake Lively Unveils 'Beautiful, Romantic Thing' Ryan Reynolds Did for Her When They Started Dating
Blake Lively is letting fans in on one of her husband Ryan Reynolds' sweeter sides.
The Deadpool star, who is well-known for his affectionate trolling of his beloved—and once left fans feeling quite skeptical of his "unusually lovely" birthday tribute to the Gossip Girl alum—actually started the relationship off strong with "a beautiful, romantic" gesture that's left all of our hearts aflutter: a regular delivery of personalized flowers each week.
"When my husband and I first got together, he would send me a bouquet of flowers every week," she told People in this week's issue, per Page Six. But along with the floral arrangements came a sweet card calling back to "something that had happened that week," with just a short, "funny or emotional" sentence of something one of the two had said.
“It was just like, someone who sees you or remembers a funny story. I would tell him something funny that happened in my day or something sweet we said or something we had to look forward to, and it was always just, like, a little five words, seven words, like, a little quote of our week,” she explained, describing it succinctly as "a little quote of the week."
"It was such a beautiful, romantic thing," she concluded, joking that they now have "4,000 children!"
It's an exaggeration, of course, as the couple shares three daughters, James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and one son, Olin (17 months), whose name, gender, and age were only recently revealed to the public.
