Bleak ‘Simpsons’ Clip Roasts Dark Side of Trump’s First 100 Days
Knocking off sleeping animals — it’s an American tradition! On Wednesday, The Simpsons released an exclusive YouTube clip that takes aim at President Trump’s landmark accomplishment of not getting impeached after 100 days of threatening federal judges that he’d see them in court, which is where they work, so, of course, that’s where he’d see them … because that’s where they work. In a court.
Last July, The Simpsons dropped a short that poked fun at Trump’s habit of tweeting at 3 a.m., especially about Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, and it received more than 11 million views.
This new clip began with a much bleaker look at the tumult in the White House, with Sean Spicer tendering his resignation by hanging himself. And this has all taken its toll on the Simpson family — Marge is now medicating herself with prescription Prozac she conceals in her big blue beehive. But lucky for us, the writers leave us with this message of hope for the future. Well, kind of.
