Blink-182 ups production values, number of seats for Schott concert next week

Those planning to see Blink-182 in Columbus this summer are in for a bigger, better show than originally planned.

The pop-punk band, which comes to the Schottenstein Center on Aug. 13 with supporting acts Pierce the Veil and Hot Milk, has upped its production values with a 360-degree view of the performance, which in turn, has increased seating capacity.

Tickets, which start at $39.50, are available at ticketmaster.com.

Blink-182's "One More Time..." tour comes six years after the band was forced to cancel its "Kings of the Weekend Tour” — which also included a stop in Columbus — due to medical issues for drummer Travis Barker. The trio is rounded out by bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus and guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge.

Formed more than 30 years ago in California, Blink-182 is known for hits such as “What's My Age Again?” and "All the Small Things."

The multiplatinum, Grammy-nominated band has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, including its ninth studio album, "One More Time..."

Released last October, the album gave them their third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.
