Nickelodeon Star Drake Bell Files for Bankruptcy
Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has filed for bankruptcy.
According to court documents obtained by Yahoo, the "Drake & Josh" alum claims he's in the hole $581,000.
Bell, 27, apparently owes $1.597 million. He lists the value of his house at $1.575 million, according the filing. Bell also states he made $408,000 in 2012, but only $14,099 in 2013.
The actor — who also starred alongside Amanda Bynes in "The Amanda Show" — claims he now only makes $2,820 a month, but that his expenses are $18,771.
But the bankruptcy news hasn't slowed Drake down on social media. While Bynes's buddy has yet to address the situation, he has been tweeting about music since news first broke on Wednesday.
Bell has had a few TV stints over the past few years; however, he was most recently in the headlines for comments he made about Justin Bieber.
"@justinbieber instead of egging speeding around your neighborhood and defacing property like a little s--t you should practice your guitar!!" Drake tweeted in January after Justin's home was raided by the police post-egg incident.
The actor deleted the comments shortly after … but he wasn't done just yet.
A week and a half later, Drake tweeted out a link to the "We the People" petition in support of getting Bieber deported.
When he's not facing off with Beliebers, Bell does make time for acting. He he has the films "Jungle Shuffle" and "L.A. Slasher” in the works, according to IMDB.
