While Zendaya is ready to move past the comments Giuliana Rancic made about the actress's hair, other commentators aren't letting the Fashion Police panelist off the hook so easily.

The 18-year-old Disney star had been quiet as backlash mounted over Rancic's remark on Fashion Police saying Zendaya's dreadlocks at the Oscars suggested the 18-year-old "smells like patchouli oil... or weed." But the teen returned to social media Wednesday with an eloquent statement on her Instagram. In it, she accepted the apology Rancic issued during E! News on Tuesday and quoted Martin Luther King Jr.

Zendaya is clearing taking the high road, but several other celebrities have taken Rancic to task. This morning on The View, the co-hosts agreed Rancic was "no Joan Rivers" and suggested that Fashion Police had run its course following the comedian's death in September. "Maybe it's time for the show to turn into something else, because Joan was one of a kind," said Whoopi Goldberg.

Co-host Nicolle Wallace added: "If you have to carry on a show in her tragic absence, you have to understand that you are not Joan. You don't get to say this stuff and get away with it."

Rancic also upset fellow Fashion Police panelist Kelly Osbourne, who, in a series of tweets, threatened to quit the show over the remarks.

Osbourne's mother Sharon, a co-host on The Talk, weighed in, too. "I think that her apology was very sincere," Sharon Osbourne said. "We all make mistakes on TV. I put my foot in my mouth so many times. She fessed up... She owned it... I shouldn't talk for Kelly. She's a 30-year-old woman, but at the time that the show was aired, people were saying that it was Kelly and Giuliana. So Kelly was getting a lot of hate tweets and it was badly reported on social media... she just said, 'Hey, not me, don't pull me into this.' Zendaya is a friend of Kelly's and she never would condone that. We all make mistakes. She's learned from hers. Now, maybe now I'll learn from mine."

Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, and Chlo? Grace Moretz, among others, have spoken out in support of Zendaya.

Rancic told E! News viewers on Tuesday that the furor over her remarks "is weighing very heavy on my heart."

She continued: "I want to apologize for a comment I made on last night's Fashion Police about Zendaya's hair. Now, as you know, Fashion Police is a show that pokes fun at celebrities in good spirit, but I do understand that something I said last night did cross the line. I just want everyone to know I didn't intend to hurt anybody. But I've learned it is not my intent that matters; it's the result. And the result is that people are offended, including Zendaya, and that is not OK.

"Therefore, I want to say to Zendaya and to anyone else out there that I have hurt that I am so, so sincerely sorry. This really has been a learning experience for me. I've learned a lot today, and this incident has taught me to be a lot more aware of cliches and stereotypes... how much damage they can do, and that I am responsible, as we all are, to not perpetuate them further. Thank you for listening."
