Blood in the water after 'Bachelorette' contestants get a little too aggressive during game
Tuesday marked the beginning of Tayshia Adams’s journey on The Bachelorette. She replaced Clare Crawley, who exited the show after only four episodes because she fell in love with Dale Moss.
Along with Tayshia came four new suitors. There were 16 suitors still remaining from Clare’s time on the show, and things were almost immediately strained between the old group and the new group.
Things were particularly hard for new guy Spencer Robertson, as he was the first to meet the existing group of men. He also earned the first-impression rose, which helped bolster the animosity among the men.
During a game of splashball, which is essentially basketball in a pool, Spencer and one of the original guys, Riley Christian, became increasingly aggressive as they played. This culminated with Spencer taking one of Riley’s elbows to mouth.
Spencer’s lip split open and he had to be treated by the medical staff. He also got some additional quality time in with Tayshia as she checked on him.
Who knows what the season has in store, but it was pretty apparent that several of the contestants have set their sights on taking down the new competition, particularly Spencer.
The Bachelorette airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
