Blue Bloods fans are waiting with anticipation to see if all of their favorite characters make it out alive in the show’s upcoming series finale. Several of the program’s cast members have hinted that there are some major moments to come for the characters.

Some viewers pointed out that Len Cariou’s character, Henry Reagan, had some ominous dialogue that could have hinted that his character might get the ax.

In season 14, episode 11, Henry chats with Jack Boyle at a Reagan family dinner. The elder Reagan came off quite hostile toward Erin Reagan’s ex-husband.

“I’m wondering what the statute of limitations is in this family,” Jack asked during the episode, to which Tom Selleck’s Frank Reagan asked, “In regards to what?”

“How long will I be held responsible for mistakes I made in my early 20s? Or is the backlash in perpetuity?” Jack said, prompting Henry to respond, “Til I die.”

In episode 12 of the show’s final season, Henry decided at family dinner that he wanted to hear all of the nice things his family members would say about him if he passed away. They held a fake wake during the dinner, going around the table to share their favorite memories with Henry.

“What can I say about the man who taught me everything?” Frank said during the scene about his father. “Taught me how to drive a stick. Taught me how to pour a beer in the side of a glass just so. Taught me how to reheat a pizza, by sliding a slice into a pan shimmering in a little olive oil.”

Henry asked if that was it, and Frank replied, “Pretty much. No, not hardly. That was just the tip of an iceberg that runs deep and wide.”

As of season 14, episode 14, Henry’s character is still alive. But several Blue Bloods cast members have teased what’s to come in the show’s final episodes. And it seems like producers are ready to go out with a bang, which could potentially mean killing off a character. Blue Bloods star Abigail Hawk revealed that she and Tom Selleck shot their final scenes in a cemetery.

“Which is not giving anything away, but certainly dangling a little teaser,” she told Screen Time of the location, without elaborating.

Donnie Wahlberg also shared that the show’s final episode might bring fans to tears.

“There'll be a lot of tears,” he said during a Sirius XM radio appearance on October 17. “I think the same kind of tears we had but there is a very sad scene that happens in the middle of the final episode which will be very emotional, but I think the audience is going to be really happy. I think it feels like a finale but a hopeful forward-thinking finale.”

Len, 85, on his part expressed sadness that Blue Bloods has been canceled after 10 successful years on CBS.

“Yeah, it’s too bad. Doesn’t make any sense,” he said of the show ending in a November 1 interview with TV Insider. “We’re still, I think, the best-watched show on Friday nights, even though we’re canceled.”
