Blueface Gives Life Update From Behind Bars With Series Of Photos
Blueface has issued an update from jail, releasing new pictures to his fans. On Wednesday (Sept. 25), the West Coast rapper uploaded the flicks to Instagram, showing him on the phone with an altered background. He captioned the three smirk-heavy pictures with a question to his fans, typing, “Am I missing out, or y’all missing me?”
Naturally, his fans jumped into the comment section to answer the artist’s question—some remarks more humorous than others. “Diddy on his way gang u need to get out of there,” one account quipped. “Ni**a do you miss your kids?” another netizen remarked. “I know a lot of people laugh and find it funny but man yo kids really miss you bro, as I’m sure you know. Keep them in mind, brother, and make it out here and continue making millions and blessing your family,” a fan said, offering wisdom.
Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Harvey, also commented on the pictures. Harvey gave love to her son, stating how much she misses him and that she has been taking care of his children since he’s been locked up. “We all miss you so much son! Praying God is working on you and through you. Counting down the days and no worries I got the kids as much as possible,” she typed.
Earlier this month, Blueface’s mugshot went viral online. After being transferred from downtown Los Angeles’ Men’s Central Jail to North Kern State Prison, Blue had his mugshot taken, showing him without his signature curly updo. The rapper, né Johnathan Jamall Porter, was sentenced to 4 years in prison in August after he violated his probation. The violation stems from a 2021 incident where he assaulted a security guard at a San Fernando Valley club.
After the sentencing, Blueface’s dad issued a response. He uploaded a video showing himself upset at the prison sentence, but asked Blue’s fans for “prayer” for the “famous crip.”
“I’m hoping and praying that the judge shows him some mercy and some leniency and free him today,” Johnathan Porter Sr. said. “I need y’all to pray up for me. Help me pray for Blueface and let him out today. Free Blueface. Let the famous crip free.”
