Teenage Kingfish played at White House for Obama

Kingfish, now 25, began his journey in Clarksdale, Mississippi, 10 miles from the legendary Highways 61 and 49. The blues star was born into a family of musicians and singers and fell in love with music as a young kid, starting with bass and drums.

When he got his first guitar, he quickly soaked up music by legendary guitarists like Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix and Prince.

Before graduating high school, Kingfish already had performed at the White House for first lady Michelle Obama, and he toured the country and abroad.

Kingfish made waves in the First State when he played the Saint Georges Blues Festival in 2019. He also showed out in South Jersey at the XPoNential Music Festival in 2019 and 2021.
