‘BoJack Horseman’ Season 5 Trailer: Will Arnett’s Cartoon Horse Is Back on TV, Still a Complete Mess (Video)
Less than two weeks before it returns on Netflix, the streamer released the trailer for the upcoming fifth season of its animated comedy, “BoJack Horseman.”
In the new season of the Netflix comedy, BoJack (Will Arnett) finds himself back on TV, starring in a new show called “Philbert,” where he plays a character with disturbing parallels to his own life. Of course, this forces the emotionally unstable BoJack to confront his past in both big and small ways, with numerous hi-jinks along the way.
Last season ended with Princess Carolyn pitching “Philbert” as a movie, so it appears it got sidetracked along the way.

BoJack’s step-sister, Hollyhock Manheim-Mannheim-Guerrero-Robinson-Zilberschlag-Hsung-Fonzarelli-McQuack (voiced by Aparna Nancherla) appears to be returning for the fun, alongside Todd Chavez (Aaron Paul), Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins) and Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris).
But the “main thing” about this season, according to creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg: Diane (Alison Brie) gets a haircut. They’re really proud of it.
Along with premiering its new season on Netflix, “BoJack Horseman” will also make its linear TV debut on Comedy Central, airing repeats behind “South Park” beginning Sept. 26.
Season five of “BoJack Horseman” premieres on Netflix Friday, Sept. 14.
