Bold and the Beautiful July 24: What Will it Take for Steffy to Get Over Her Logan Resentments?

So many resentments, so little time.
So many resentments, so little time.

Resentments ruled in The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Wednesday, July 24 episode. First, Steffy and Ridge moved on from the Sheila conversation to discuss Steffy’s unwillingness to have anything to do with the Logans, even if they all work together. Also, Dollar Bill asked Li to overcome her resentment towards her sister so the whole family could live peacefully. Finally, Poppy’s resentment of Katie grew exponentially.

Steffy Resentment

Once Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) moved past Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) talk, they discussed and debated Brooke’s role at Forrester. Steffy had to contend with the fact that Ridge desperately wanted Brooke to be the face of the revamped Bedroom line. He felt placing Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang — who reunited with Ronn Moss recently) in that position sent an empowering message filled with fierce females who are comfortable and confident being themselves at any age.

Steffy felt that Brooke’s presence meant the focus would solely be on Brooke and not on the message. It was entirely possible, at least to Ridge, that Steffy was letting her feelings about the family histories keep her from seeing the big picture. He felt bad that she still felt such pain over the past. But he also wanted his daughter to figure out a way not to put all the blame on Brooke. She needed to be mad at him, too.

Has Steffy started letting her resentments affect her professional life? Should she do something about that? Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has gone to therapy. If she’s currently not seeing one, she might want to consider it. The Forresters and Logans will never completely get past decades of resentment and bitterness. But talking to someone might help make it easier to live with.

Li Resentment

We’re unsure what’s happening with Li (Naomi Matsuda). Obviously, she and Poppy (Romy Park) haven’t gotten along since Poppy and Luna (Lisa Yamada) arrived in Los Angeles. But when Bill (Don Diamont) came to her and asked her to figure out how to make peace with her sister, it was strange. She said that Poppy and her have always been at odds. That we’ve pretty much known.

However, as soon as Billi told her that she was part of his family now, it felt like a flash of subtle giddiness took over. It made us wonder if she and Poppy might be closer than we think. The sisters sure do keep their secrets close to the vest. Is Li’s resentment of Poppy genuine or part of a bigger scheme? (Katie and Brooke turn up the heat this week on B&B)

Poppy Resentment

Every time Katie barges into Bill’s mansion, Poppy’s resentment understandably increases (Find out what’s next on B&B). Subsequent conversations she and Katie (Heather Tom) share turn into tension-filled confrontations, and this week’s blowout was no different. Katie asked Poppy question after question, none of which Poppy answered. Instead, the lady of the manor expressed anger and frustration over the nerve of Bill’s ex asking questions that were none of her business.

Later, after Katie left, Poppy talked to Luna, who could see and feel her mom’s displeasure. Unfortunately, when Luna asked Poppy about what had gone wrong with Katie, Poppy deflected and didn’t answer. Should we take note of this? What is Poppy hiding?

Should Steffy’s resentment of the Logans continue to feel so fresh? Or should she try to do the work and eliminate them from her life? Let us know in the comments.
