Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is touring to Delaware this spring. Here's how to get tix

With this year marking the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, it's only fitting that rap royalty Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will grace The Queen with a Wilmington concert on March 11.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

Hip-hop legends

When it comes to the best rap groups of all time, Bone Thugs is in the mix with other popular acts like Wu-Tang Clan, Migos, OutKast, N.W.A. and A Tribe Called Quest.

Bone is part of a tiny club of musical artists that recorded songs with a legendary trio of rappers: 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G. and N.W.A. star Eazy-E, each of whom died before reaching 35 years old.

Bone Thugs got their big break in the 1990s after signing to Eazy-E's label Ruthless Records.

The group, which started out as five members, is known for their fast style of auctioneer rap mixed with strong vocal harmonies.

That landed them a Grammy for their single "Crossroads" in 1997. That song would go on to inspire a number of parodies, including a hobo skit on "Key & Peele" titled "Bone-Thugs-N-Homeless."

Chris Rock even poked fun at Bone's welfare-inspired hit "1st of Tha Month" in one of his comedy specials.

The group's rap catalog also features "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," "Foe Tha Love of $," "Mo'murda," "Buddah Lovaz" and "I Tried."

Who's on board?

The original members of Bone Thugs are Flesh-n-Bone; Layzie Bone; Krayzie Bone; Wish Bone; and the fiery Bizzy Bone, who is the biggest star in the group.

In September, Bizzy announced on Instagram he was retiring from touring with his brothers.

On his latest IG post earlier this month, Bizzy announced dates from his solo tour are coming soon. He's also working on the upcoming album "I'M BUSY!"

Bone's promo photo for their 2023 tour features all of the members except Bizzy. So it looks like the star emcee won't be coming to Wilmington with the gang.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will tour to The Queen (500 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 11. Tickets are $43-$88. For more info, visit thequeenwilmington.com.
