“Boy Meets World” star Trina McGee was shocked by pregnancy at 54: 'Is this really happening?'
The actress, who played Angela Moore on the hit sitcom, announced earlier this month that she is expecting her fourth child.
Trina McGee is excited to celebrate the "miracle" of her fourth pregnancy.
At 54 years old, the former Boy Meets World actress is getting ready to welcome another child into her family — a shocking reality that took some time for her to accept.
"I just kept saying, 'Is this really happening?' I still do that. 'Is this really happening?' But it is," McGee told PEOPLE in a new interview. "I'll get sick, or I'll do something weird [and] it has to do with pregnancy. And I'm like, 'This is really happening.' And I'm remembering all the other times when I was pregnant, you know, 25 years ago, and I'm like, wow, this is it. This is really happening. It's wonderful. It's great."

McGee shares three adult children — Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, and Ezra, 25 — with her first husband, Courtland Davis. This latest pregnancy will mark her first child with Marcello Thedford, her husband of 16 years.
"It feels very [much] like a miracle," McGee said of the pregnancy, adding, "It's much more intentional. When I had my older children, I was thinking about, 'Okay, I got to go back to work. I have to earn money, and I have a meeting at 4,' and this and that."

This time around, McGee is taking time to relax and "be quiet" before the baby comes.
"I've had all my kids during a thriving acting career," she said. "All of them have been on television in my stomach. My oldest daughter was in my stomach when I did a guest spot on A Different World. My second-oldest son, he was on the Martin show and Sinbad in my stomach. And then, the last one was born while doing Boy Meets World. So they all have that, but this one is like, 'Whoa, okay.'"
McGee added, "I am not so ambitious as I was when I was younger, in my twenties, where I worked all through pregnancies. But I will say work is starting to come to me just because of the baby, and phone calls and different situations are coming up, so we'll see what happens. But I'm not pressed in any way to do anything except have this baby right now."

McGee is best known for playing Angela Moore, a love interest of Rider Strong's Shawn and best friend to Danielle Fishel's Topanga, on Boy Meets World. She reprised the role in an episode of the revival series Girl Meets World, and her other screen credits include The Birdcage, Daylight, Friday After Next, Family Matters, The Parent 'Hood, City Guys, and The Hughleys.
She announced her pregnancy on social media earlier this month, writing, "At the tender age of 54 I have found myself pregnant. Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you."
