While out in LA, Ward shared her joy for her former co-star, who is now 54 and expecting her fourth child.
The adult film star fondly recalled McGee's pregnancies during their time on the show, noting, "I was there when she got pregnant with her first three kids while working on the show."
Despite her initial happiness, Ward admitted to feeling a bit cautious about the news.
"My first thought was, like, is this April Fool's? But I read the post and everything," she said, highlighting her hope that McGee's announcement was not a publicity stunt. Ward explained her skepticism, saying:
"I hope that it's not like a publicity stunt or anything. I hope not. Because I have not seen any verification or any information."
The adult film star pointed out in her conversation with TMZ the surprise many felt due to McGee's age, acknowledging that a pregnancy in one's 50s is quite unusual.
"I would think in the first days she is probably trying to be safe and everything. So I give her her space and all that," she added.
Ward Asks McGee To Share Her Journey For The Benefit Of Other Women
Ward suggested that McGee should document her pregnancy to help other women and show that geriatric pregnancies are possible.
"I hope that as it goes along she would show us her journey because that's a pretty big deal. I think that would help a lot of women, a lot of women with fertility issues. To naturally become pregnant," she remarked.
She also shared her experience with a friend who got pregnant at 50 through insemination, acknowledging the potential health concerns for both the mother and the baby.
"Well, that is actually a real issue," Ward said, referring to the increased likelihood of health issues in children born to older mothers.
Lastly, the 47-year-old speculated that McGee may not have planned to get pregnant, adding another layer of curiosity to the announcement.

Maitland Ward Revealed Husband's Support In Her Adult Film Career
Since starring with Trina McGee on "Boy Meets World," Ward has transitioned from the Hollywood screen to the adult film industry.
Back in 2022, The Blast noted that Ward's transition into adult entertainment came with unexpected support from her husband, Terry Baxter, who encouraged her to film scenes with other men.
"He saw a truth in me that I wasn't going to cross the boundary of … getting with guys, basically," the TV personality explained. Ward took the leap in 2019 with "Drive," a movie featuring several male actors.
