Bradley Coopers Calls A Star Is Born Oscars Performance 'Surreal': 'I'm So Excited'
Bradley Cooper is gearing up for his big moment.
The A Star Is Born director, writer and actor, 44, is set to make his Oscars performance debut alongside Lady Gaga to sing their nominated hit song “Shallow.”
Cooper joked he still can’t believe he’s going to take the stage as a singer.
“That’s so surreal that I said yes we will be performing tonight,” he said while walking the red carpet on Sunday night. “I’m very excited.”
Along with Best Original Song, Cooper and Gaga are both up for awards for their performances at the Oscars. The film is also nominated for Best Picture.

And while Cooper may be feeling the nerves, luckily, it won’t be the first time the pair sing “Shallow” live. Last month, Cooper joined Gaga onstage for a surprise performance while he was attending her new Las Vegas residency show.

A fan-made video showed Cooper sitting in a private area near the front of the audience. “So I’m gonna be a little chance-y,” she continued. “Yo Bradley, you wanna come up and do this one?”
Cooper agreed and made his way to the stage, where they shared a hug and she led him to the piano.

“I even got you in-ears,” Gaga said of the earbuds singers use to hear themselves in concert venues.
“Jackson never used these,” Cooper joked in reply, referencing his rebel character in the film.
