Brandy’s “Christmas Party For Two” Video Is For Lovers Only
Brandy is welcoming all lovers to fall back in love this holiday season with the sensual visual for her single, “Christmas Party For Two.”
Directed by William Sikora III and Frank Gatson, the scintillating video may be void of the traditional festive colors, but the romance between Brandy and her love interest shines brightly in the black-and-white aesthetic.
In the record that introduced her debut holiday LP, Christmas With Brandy, she sings, “Slowly unwrap me, you can have me/ Quiet, quiet, quiet, quiet/ Try to keep this silent like that, thinkin’/ While everyone is sleepin’ we can get it in for the evenin’/ The two of us fall back in love this Christmas/ Help me undress, oh, yes/ I’ll be your present/ Just give me your presence/ That’s all that I’m askin’ of you.”
Whether the two were dancing intimately in the kitchen while sipping on Stella Rosa, nestled cozily by the fireplace, or partaking in mistletoe activities, the video fully embodies what the ballad details—a christmas party for two.
Coincidentally, “Christmas Party For Two” is Brandy’s favorite track from the album. “I can listen to it over and over. And even if it wasn’t me singing, I say it humbly. If it was someone else’s song, I would love it. I love it that much,” she told VIBE.
The Vocal Bible explained that despite the song’s nature, it can still be enjoyed by single folks much like herself.
“Just the melody and the vibe of it, it’s just so good. I’m so happy that they gave me that song, because it spoke to me right away. And I’m not even in a relationship. You know what I’m saying? I’m all the way by myself, and I just absolutely love that record,” she teased.
