Brantley Gilbert, Daughtry to headline Canfield Fair

Popular music acts will be highlights of the 178th Canfield Fair.

The fair will run Wednesday through Labor Day at the Canfield Fairgrounds at 7265 Columbiana-Canfield Road.

Country star Brantley Gilbert will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the grandstand. Tickets, which range from $39 to $99, are available via Ticketmaster.

At 7 p.m. Monday, closing out the fair will be a trio of rockers Daughtry, Buckcherry and Hinder. Tickets are available online only, also through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $39 to $83, and VIP tickets, for $135, also are available.

The fair will celebrate different groups with special days. Wednesday and Friday are Senior Days. Thursday is Youth Day at the fair. Entry tickets are free or discounted on those days.

Special events are planned each day of the fair:

Wednesday – Cheerleading demonstrations at 11 a.m. in the grandstand.

Thursday – Ribbon-cutting for the fair, 10 a.m. at the Michael Kusalaba Event Center Stage.

Thursday – High School Band Show, 11 a.m. in the grandstand.

Thursday – Junior Fair Youth Day Program,. 2 p.m. in the Michael Kusalaba Event Center Stage.

Friday – Bike Night, 3 to 6 p.m. in the concourse.

Friday – World’s Largest Demolition Derby, 8 p.m. in the grandstand.

Saturday – Champion Truck & Tractor Pull, 7 p.m. in the grandstand.

Ticket prices vary by the day, and by age group. Children ages 6 and younger enter free each day. Children ages 12 and younger enter for free on Youth Day.

While admission isn’t free for seniors on Wednesday and Friday, it’s discounted because they’re Senior Days. Admission for those ages 62 and older is $4 on Wednesday, and $6 on Friday.
