Fans speculate Taylor Swift's surprise song in Brazil is dedicated to fan who died
Taylor Swift wrapped up her Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, tour stop with two surprise songs. She performed "ME!" from "Lover" on the guitar and "So It Goes..." from "Reputation" on the piano Monday night.
The night before, she performed in the rain with fans speculating one of the special songs was dedicated to Ana Clara Benevides Machado.
For night two of Swift's shows at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos, the singer played "Dancing With Our Hands Tied" on the guitar from "Reputation" and "Bigger Than the Whole Sky" from "Midnights" on the piano.
Fans who were streaming the show live believed Swift chose the piano song as a tribute to Benevides, the fan who died on Friday. Many commenters on a TikTok livestream said, "For Ana."
Others said it may also be a tribute to Gabriel Milhomem Santos, a 25-year-old who was reportedly fatally stabbed before attending the Eras Tour, and Ally Garner Anderson, the 16-year-old Swiftie who received the red hat during a tour stop in Cincinnati.

"I kind of started this tradition where I would try to play songs that I have either never played live before or have never played live on the Eras Tour," she said before the first song. "You're getting one of each of those things tonight. This one is one of my favorites. I haven't played it since the 'Reputation' tour."

Rio stays beautiful on night one
Swift performed "Stay Beautiful" from her debut album and "Suburban Legends" from "1989 (Taylor's Version) [From the Vault]" as her suprise set for night one.
"I wanted to play something to honor the fact that so many amazing Brazilian fans have been with me since day one," she said before strumming her guitar to the eighth track from her first album.
