The streaming giant obtained the licensing rights to all four seasons of Elliott’s hit series UnREAL, which ran from 2015 to 2018 at Lifetime before landing at Hulu for an abbreviated final season in July 2018. For the past few years, the series has been streaming on Tubi, but beginning on Aug. 19th, fans can binge all 38 episodes of the drama on Netflix.

The series follows a young reality television producer (Shiri Appleby) who is pushed by her ruthless boss (Constance Zimmer) to swallow her integrity and do anything it takes to drum up salacious content for their dating reality show Everlasting. Elliott starred as Graham, Everlasting’s charismatic host with an overinflated ego.

The actor shared the news of UnREAL‘s new streaming home on Instagram, writing: “For those who are asking, I posted some exciting news for all you #unreal fans this morning. @netflix will be airing all 4 seasons and 38 episodes of this award winning series. Was very proud to be a part of this show and all the cast and crew who helped bring it to life. You fans asked for it so keep an eye out this August #2024 only on @netflix. THANKYOU @netflix and all you amazing fans for loving it so much! Get your popcorn ready!??.”

With this move, UnREAL is poised to reach an entirely new audience, and several fans expressed their excitement in the comments section of Elliott’s post. “Yay!!! I will get Netflix for this!!” one fan wrote. Another chimed in: “So excited to watch this. Have always wanted to binge it! ??.”

In addition to UnREAL, Netflix also obtained the rights to the first season of CBS’ Fire Country and several AMC shows, including Fear the Walking DeadInterview with the Vampire, and Preacher, all of which will be available to stream in August. In recent years, the streamer has significantly increased their focus on producing original Christmas movies and rom-coms. Falling for Christmas, Irish Wish, Single All The Way and A Castle for Christmas are just some of the many titles they’ve added to their collection, making them a formidable competitor for Hallmark.

While some Hallmark actors have jumped ship to rivals like Great American Family and Netflix, fans can rest assured knowing Elliott is not leaving the network anytime soon. It fact, the Ms. Christmas Comes to Town star has an exciting new project in the works with his Crossword Mysteries co-star Lacey Chabert. Elliott and Chabert are teaming up again to star in the upcoming drama His & Hers, which centers on a married couple who work as attorneys at rival New York City firms.
