Bridgerton and Benedict's Love Interest for Season 4: Yerin Ha
In a long-awaited announcement, fans of the hit Netflix Regency era show, Bridgerton, have been treated with the casting of Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest for season 4. Australian actress Yerin Ha has been cast as Sophie Beckett and viewers want to learn all about her life and career ahead of the anticipated season.

The casting announcement went viral on social media with a positive response from fans, including many who expressed excitement in seeing an East-Asian lead.
The announcement comes nearly a month after Netflix confirmed that the show’s fourth season would follow the second eldest Bridgerton sibling, Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson).
Sophie Beckett, also known as the elusive Lady in Silver, in the Bridgerton novel series, is the illegitimate child to the Earl of Penwood and his maid. As the story goes, the captivating Lady in Silver gains Benedict’s attention at his mother’s masquerade ball.
Who is Yerin Ha?
Ha, aged 29, was born in Sydney, Australia. At 15, she relocated to South Korea to train at a fine arts high school in acting. She returned to Sydney to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting at Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art.
Ha recently starred in the HBO Original Television Series Dune: Prophecy — which will release in November of this year — and Paramount+’s American military science fiction television series Halo (2022-2024).
She was named as a Casting Guild of Australia Rising Star in 2021, an award that identifies “a group of up to 10 extraordinary actors [The CGA] believe have the potential to break out on the world stage.”
Ha will be Bridgerton’s first East-Asian female lead. Sophie Beckett is following in the leading lady footsteps of Daphne Bridgerton (portrayed by Phoebe Dynevor), Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
What fans know about ‘Bridgerton’ season 4
Earlier this summer, Netflix officially confirmed that the newest season will follow fan favorite Benedict Bridgerton.
The plot — which besides taking a few liberties with characters and storylines — has thus far roughly followed the order of events depicted in the book series Bridgerton by Julia Quinn.
In Benedict’s book, An Offer from a Gentleman, the second-eldest Bridgerton is swept off his feet by a mysterious Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball. She disappears before he can unveil her identity, but Benedict, undeterred, is determined to track her down.
Benedict’s season 4 story will hone in on his character growth, specifically this young adult’s moment of development before he marries and starts a family.
“It felt important for him [Benedict] to explore the fullness of himself before he settles down,” Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell told Tudum. “He is someone who has big appetites, and we wanted to see him living a big life before he goes into settle-down mode.”
A release date has not been set for ‘Bridgerton’ season 4
Netflix has yet to set an official release date for Bridgerton season 4. The only confirmation the streaming service gave fans was the season’s length — eight episodes.
The show typically releases in the springtime, just in time for debutante debuts. Though filming is slated to begin later this year, anxious fans will likely have to wait until 2026 for new episodes.
In the meantime, to quell your desires for the show’s salacious social season, all three seasons are available to stream on Netflix.
