Bristol Palin reveals PTSD struggles with now ex-husband on 'Teen Mom OG'
On Monday’s Teen Mom OG meet-the-moms special, new cast member Bristol Palin broke down the marital struggles with her now ex-husband, Dakota Meyer. He served two tours overseas as a marine and now suffers from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), something that Palin said, “puts a major strain on our marriage.”
“When he is going through, like, an anxiety attack, he’ll lash out, and he’ll just say very evil things,” Palin said on the show. “So it’s been a challenge, and I don’t know how much more I can take.”
Palin, the daughter of 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, shares two girls with Meyer and moved with him to Texas to raise their family. But life together proved to be very difficult, as seen on a sneak peek of the upcoming Teen Mom OG season, in which Palin admitted that she’s worried Meyer might kill himself.
Making things even harder for Bristol, no doubt, is that while she remains in Texas, her mom and family are still in Alaska, a place she clearly misses, as evident by her crying while talking about it.
“I miss, like, driving down the road and, like, seeing people that I know. I miss it. I miss it for sure,” Palin said, beginning to cry. “I hate crying. It really sucks.”
Teen Mom OG premieres on Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
