Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband Kevin Federline Off The Hook In Private School Tuition Lawsuit
Kevin Federline and his wife Victoria Federline, formerly known as volleyball player Victoria Prince, were being sued by a private school where they sent two of their children.
However, on Wednesday, August 16, the school agreed to dismiss the lawsuit against them. The decision to drop the lawsuit comes shortly after K-Fed moved his family, including the two teenage sons he shares with pop star Britney Spears, to Hawaii on August 1.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the school filed to dismiss the lawsuit on August 16. It is unclear why the school dropped the lawsuit against the couple, but it is safe to assume that there was most likely a confidential settlement in the case.
As The Blast previously reported, the lawsuit was originally filed on May 9, 2023. They claimed that the last time they received a payment from the couple was years before, on or about May 16, 2019. The school claimed that the couple owed almost $16,000 in tuition fees for two of their children.
With the family’s recent move to Hawaii, it seems unlikely that the couple’s two minor children are still attending school in California, which might be one reason why the school decided to drop the lawsuit.
Britney Spears’ Children Are ‘Upset’ By The Wildfires Raging On In Hawaii
Last week, Kevin Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told Page Six that the former couple’s two teenage sons - Sean Preston Federline, 17, and Jayden James Federline, 16 – are “upset” by the wildfires, but are overall happy to be living in the “paradise” that is Hawaii.
“[They are] not personally [affected], but there are people in the area that are dying and having their homes destroyed, so it’s very traumatic,” he told the outlet. “Obviously, right now, everyone is very sad about what’s going on there with the fires and the casualties from the fires, but other than the trauma from that, they’re very happy to be there.”
Kaplan said that the two teenage boys “love it there,” adding, “They had been there before they decided to make the move, but they’re very happy there.” He went on to say, “They’re living in paradise,” adding that the two are still “excited” about the school.
He noted that there is still a degree of “trauma” around the wildfires, but noted that Britney’s sons are “very excited” to be “building a future in a new environment, making new friends, and exploring new opportunities.”
It is unclear how her two boys feel about her impending divorce from actor Sam Asghari. Their separation was also announced on Wednesday, the same day that the lawsuit was dismissed.
Sam Asghari and Britney Spears Are Heading For Divorce
Britney was married to Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. She met Sam Asghari on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and tied the knot in June 2022 at a star-studded mansion at her Thousand Oaks estate.
Unfortunately, multiple sources are now reporting that the couple called it quits and separated after fourteen months of marriage. According to one report, the reason for the shocking separation is allegations of infidelity. Adding, “It’s only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce.”
Reports indicate that Sam moved out of the home after rumors that Britney was unfaithful to him; however, it is unclear if there is any truth to those rumors. It looks like divorce is on the horizon for the couple, though, as another source told Page Six later on Wednesday night that the pop star had hired high-power divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.
Another source told Page Six that the 29-year-old actor is reportedly “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.” The prenup was reportedly signed in Britney's favor, protecting the money that she made during her decades-long career in the entertainment industry.
Sources for People magazine also confirmed that the couple was going their separate ways, although they noted that he had played a big part in her life during her conservatorship. In April 2019, a source for the family told the publication, “There is no question that Sam is great for Britney. He has a very positive influence on her. He is very motivated to stay healthy and fit, and they often work out together.”
