Britney Spears' son Jayden says his mom might 'quit' music
Is Britney Spears retiring? During an Instagram Live on Tuesday, the singer's 13-year-old son, Jayden, was flooded with questions from Britney fans and said his famous mother might "quit" music.
"Actually, I haven't seen her doing a lot of music at all," he revealed. "I remember one time I asked her, 'Mom, what happened to your music? And she was like, 'I dunno honey I think I might just quit it.' I was like, 'What? What are you saying? You know how much bank you make off that stuff?'"
Jayden is one of two sons Spears shares with ex-husband, Kevin Federline. He complimented his mom, calling her "pretty legendary" and shared that his favorite songs are "Hit Me Baby One More Time" and "Toxic."
The teenager also praised his father. Jayden and his brother, Sean Preston, live with Federline around 90 percent of the time. When asked if he'll get in trouble for doing the Instagram Live Jayden said, "No, my dad doesn't care. I have the best dad ever. My dad's literally Jesus."
Jayden didn't have the nicest things to say about his grandfather, Jamie Spears, which doesn't come as a surprise. Last year, Britney's father was investigated for child abuse after an alleged altercation with Sean, 14. Jamie was cleared of all charges.
After Jayden's comments made headlines, his social media account was wiped clean and turned to private. Yahoo Entertainment reached out to representatives for Britney and Kevin Federline, but did not immediately receive responses.
Federline is reportedly treating son Jayden’s Instagram rant as a "family matter."
"It’s the result of a 13-year-old acting like a 13-year-old," Federline’s attorney told Page Six. "Kevin is handling it like a responsible parent."
Spears has been on a social media spree this week, but has not addressed Jayden's remarks. On Tuesday night, she shared a poem about surrounding "yourself only with those who want to see you grow."
It's been a busy week for Spears on Instagram, as her frequent posts this week have alarmed some fans.
The #FreeBritney movement is now rallying around Jayden, as he also apparently said on his Instagram Live he’s trying to break his mom free.
