Brittany Mahomes Sends a Blunt Message About Husband Patrick Forgetting His Pants at Training Camp
From the looks of it, Patrick Mahomes and Jason Kelce have more in common than just both being regarded as NFL greats.
In a new video shared on Wednesday, Aug. 7 by the official Instagram account of the Kansas City Chiefs—for whom Mahomes is a star quarterback—the pro athlete can be seen walking around the field during training camp telling his teammates and coaches that he "forgot his pants."
"Oh, dude, I didn't put my pants on," he discovers while looking down at his legs, before asking, "You think anyone notices?"
In the comical stitched together snippet of moments, Mahomes walks around the field somewhat aimlessly while continuing to mention that he has forgotten to add the important piece of clothing to his practice wardrobe.
"I forgot my pants pads," he says again to another teammate, before approaching a coach to let him know, "Hey, uh, I forgot my pads—in my pants."
After reasoning about whether or not he should head back to the locker room to put them on, the three-time Super Bowl MVP wondered, "Maybe he'll think my quads are so big that they look like pants..." to which a clip of an assistant coach bluntly stating, "I doubt it," immediately follows.
"I look like an idiot now, dude," Mahomes laments, before eventually heading off the field to get properly dressed for practice.
"The story of @patrickmahomes and his forgotten pants ??," the Chiefs captioned the clip.
Fans in the comment section likened him to his teammate Travis Kelce's older brother, recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, who also often has issues with his own pants.
"Maybe Brittany needs to pack pants for Patrick ?? #newheights," one said, mentioning the Kelce brothers' banter about Jason's wife Kylie packing him pants for a golf trip of his on an episode of their sports podcast New Heights.
"Guess it’s not just Jason who don’t bring pants for Jason. ??," another agreed, while a third commended the wives: "Where would the NFL be without @kykelce and @brittanylynne to remind these boys to put on their pants!!!"
The hilarious moment made for quite a funny scene, which fans absolutely loved—but they're not the only ones who got in on the fun.
Mahomes' wife Brittany sent her own blunt message about the pro athlete forgetting to put on his pants, reposting the video to her Instagram Stories along with the note, "Sorry I'm not there to dress you," alongside a laughing-crying emoji.
The Kansas City Chiefs will kickstart the NFL preseason with their first game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, Aug. 10.
