Brooke Shields’ Daughter Grier Looked like a Princess at Her High School Graduation: ‘The Future Looks So Bright’
Brooke Shields is feeling all the emotions today, and it’s completely understandable. Her youngest daughter, 18-year-old Grier Henchy, just graduated high school! The Pretty Baby alum shared several photos of her daughter’s big day, and Grier looked like a Disney princess in the sweet snaps.
“My youngest baby graduated from high school this week,” Shields wrote on Instagram today. “I am so endlessly proud of her & the woman she’s becoming. The future looks so bright for you, Grier.” She added, “Next stop, college and then the world. I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH IT HURTS ?? @grierhhenchy“

The first photo is a clip from a black-and-white photo reel, where Shields and Grier pose in a “Class of 2024” photo booth. In the second, the whole family gathers to celebrate Grier, who stands in the middle in a gorgeous champagne-colored strapless dress that is floor-length. She holds up her diploma and white roses, looking radiant. Her mom hugs her from one side and her dad Chris Henchy hugs her from the other. Grier’s older sister Rowan, 21, leans in and smiles, dressed in a beautiful white-and-blue floral dress with white strappy heels.
In another photo, Grier looks up at her mom as Shields faces the camera and attempts to hold back her tears. (We can see right through that smile, mama!) Later, they celebrated with sparklers at dinner.
The Mother of the Bride star admitted to Entertainment Tonight last month that she has been feeling very emotional about her youngest daughter going to college this fall. “I’m not quite in denial but, definitely, I’m going to be a mess,” she said. “I really am going to be a mess. But I know that they’re going to come back. I mean, my older daughter comes back often and, you know, they’ll be my babies forever. If you’ve done it right, though, you want them to feel that freedom to start their lives, you know?”
In April, Shields wrote a sweet birthday message to her daughter. “My baby girl is 18 ?? I love being your mom and seeing the wonderful woman you’re growing into.. Happy golden birthday, Grier! I love you! ???”
Grier returned the sentiment on her mom’s birthday a month later, writing to the Blue Lagoon star, “happy birthday to my role model, biggest supporter, and best friend. I love you mama ??????”
