Bruce Springsteen and E Street at MetLife Stadium Night 3 setlist: 'Jungleland' and more
The Rangers had a homecoming in Jersey last night.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band delivered a rare performance of the classic “Jungleland” at their Sunday, Sept. 3 show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
The Boss stood dramatically with arms spread, facing the band, on a darkened stage as violinist Soozie Tyrell played the opening notes of switchblade symphony. Jake Clemons, nephew of the late Clarence Clemons, stirringly performed song's saxophone solo to an enraptured audience.
The Boss hugged Clemons afterward, then stepped to his mic to sing the final moving verse. The “Jungleland” performance was only the second for the E Street Band on the current tour. The first was April 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Sunday's show also featured the tour debut of “Two Hearts,” originally on the 1979 album, “The River.” The reprise included musical reference to the Motown classic, “It Takes Two,” by Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston. “Something In The Night,” “Detroit Medley,” and “Jersey Girl,” which closed the show, made their 2023 MetLife debuts on Sunday.
“I'll See You In My Dreams,” which had been closing tour shows, was omitted. “Lonesome Day” opened the show, which clocked in at just under three hours. Twenty-eight songs were performed.
The show on Sunday was the third of a three-show run at MetLife. Up next is the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. on Thursday, Sept. 7.
