Brunch with the stars: Jamie Lee Curtis recommends 'this lovely little' spot in Providence
PROVIDENCE – In this city teeming with restaurants, Jamie Lee Curtis knows the best spot to get brunch: Little Sister.
The actress, who is in town to film the political comedy movie "Ella McCay," posted a picture of her breakfast Sunday on Instagram to thousands of likes.
"If you find yourself in Providence, Rhode Island, I recommend highly this lovely little corner café @littlesisterpvd and their yummy food and drinks!," she captioned a photo of two eggs covered in hollandaise sauce covering a plate of delicious looking food.
What to know about Little Sister
Little Sister, at 737a Hope St., is a Puerto Rican café, restaurant and bakery that opened in 2020. Last year, head chef and co-owner Milena Pagán was nominated for a James Beard award.
It's a tiny, casual spot that has been designed to "feel like you’re hanging out at a friend’s house eating delicious home cooking, always something new," according to the website.

It's open Thursday through Sunday, with breakfast pastries and lunch served during the day, brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, a multi-course tasting menu with wine pairings on Friday nights, and a wine tasting on Sunday evenings.
How did Little Sister respond to Jamie Lee Curtis's Instagram post?
In response to Curtis's post, Little Sister gave thanks.
"Gracias Jamie! We hope to see you again before filming wraps up ? if not, I’m sure I’ll see you in Puerto Rico," a post from the account read.
Sharing the post to their own feed, they added that they hope Jennifer Lopez, who is of Puerto Rican descent, is the next celebrity they host.
Who else is in Providence for the filming of 'Ella McCay'?
With "Ella McCay" filming around Providence slated through late April, the stars of the film will be in the Ocean State for at least a few more weeks.
In addition to Curtis, the film stars Emma Mackey and Woody Harrelson. Harrelson, who starred in the movie "Kingpin," was spotted bowling at Lang's Bowlarama in Cranston in February. He has great bowling form, according to staff.
